Another star is yet to rise! A number of youth are slowly being discovered by hundreds of netizens. Just a few days ago, the video of Jhong (he sang “Having you near me” by Air Supply) has gone viral in different social media networks. Now just a few kicks after, is another diamond in the rough. Chris is a balot(Fertilized duck egg) vendor from Batangas in the Philippines. He sells balot for a living in order to help his family live through the day. Let us not forget that the Voice Kids Philippines’ champion Lyca Gairanod was a young girl looking for semi-valuable trash in the streets such as plastic bottles which she can sell to junk shops for a little money, when she was first filmed by a passerby. Another YouTube hit was the “bibingka girl” belting to the Aegis song “Sayang na Sayang”. Chris, just like Lyca and the bibingka girl, was first heard by a person walking by and decided to film him because his voice was so captivating. He sang “Sayang na Sayang” also, but of course in a male version. After singing for a short while, the passerby asked for another song. Chris said he knew a lot of songs but chose the song “Hanggang Ngayon” by Regine Velasquez. As he started to sing the song, I got goose bumps all over! This boy is the real deal!
